The following things through researching about hair removal have been found:

Now i thought wax strips were bad enough but the thought of bronze razors, well that is just too scary
![]() One funny moment with the waxing strips i will always remember is the film called, what woman want..mel gibson using waxing strips now thats got to have everyone laughing hehe seeing the history does get me thinking, looking at those details seems like men were more bothered about hair removal then females...when i think a little more, maybe its not that different to today.. ![]() |

wow I didn't know Gilette began all the way back in 1926!
I thought people didn't even shave in those days ![]() I can imagine what the first razors would have been like in those days.. can anyone say ouch? ![]() |

I also didnt realise that the idea of hair removal went this far back.. sometimes though maybe they do too much research into things and eventually find an explanation of something that could actually account for anything...

To satisfy this need there as always been many hair removal methods some of which go back hundreds of years in history. Hair removal has been around since caveman times but remarkably the parts of the body we are removing hair from have differed over the ages. Removing hair from the head and face of men was actually not for vanity reasons but for survival. There is proof that cavemen did this but also the old Egyptians and it was undertaken, we imagine, for protection, as scraping off the beard and hair on the head would take away the benefit of an opponent having anything to grab onto as well as having less mites!
