Default Is laser removal permanent?

Okay, I don't know much about laser removal but would like it done on facial hair. Will it be permanent? I hear that sometimes hair can grow back in quicker..so does this mean that laser hair removal just slows the hair from growing back, but it will still grow back?

I'd like to know the answer to this one too. I'm new to laser removal and want to know if you pay once and never have to go back!!

Mostly it is permanent hair removal but some tend to get back hair too but very lightly instead of being that thick and dark.

From what I understand from this forum, it should be permanent if your hair is dark enough for the treatment to be effective.

Ok, I've had it done and this was my experience. I had it done on the peach fuzz on my lip and under my arms. It was not permanent for my lip, because the hair was too light. The hair on my lip grew back with 6 months. It took over a year for any hair to grow back under my arms. It just came back as a few stray hairs. They told me when I got the treatments this could happen. They said, "just come back for a touch up if it does." So, you just go back to have any stray hairs treated in a single session if they come back. It does not require repeated visits.

All I can say is if it will help me from having to shave my legs which I oh so hate doing for any amount of time I am willing to try it.

I hear ya tater. After having my armpits done I was so pleased with the results, I wanted to do my legs also!

Since then I've changed my mind. I think it's because I'm out in the sun a lot in the warmer months and I have that slight bit of hypopigmentation on my lip from having the laser treatments there. Other people may not be able to notice it, but now I'm scared to do my legs because I don't want to discolor my skin.

Laser treatment is really best for dark hair that isn't exposed to sun, ever. The technician that did mine said the most popular areas were under the arms and the bikini area.

Off course, laser hair removal is permanent. It is considered to be one of the best way of removing unwanted body hairs.
