RALEIGH -- The state Senate killed a proposal Wednesday to create a special license for those who use laser hair-removal machines, at least in part because of the ethics troubles of a Greensboro electrologist who championed the bill.
Rather than taking an up-or-down vote, a Senate Health Committee gutted the bill and turned it into a measure that would regulate anesthesiology assistants, itself a controversial topic in the legislature.
