Editor, New Era: There was information that was not true in an article in the Tuesday, Sept. 20, New Era titled, "Putting on a good face," with a subtitle, "Looking for a fountain of youth? Dive into cosmetic medicine." The article stated that "laser hair removal can be permanent after several treatments," and also that it "is considered relatively painless." The FDA has ruled that you may not claim that laser hair removal is permanent hair removal or that laser hair removal is painless. You can find this information on the FDA Web site.
